EMH MEETS GHANA’S MINISTER FOR FINANCE & ECONOMIC PLANNING DR KWABENA DUFFUOR
EMH film crew were at the celebration of 50 years of Ghanaian banking in the city of London and 11years of Ghana International Bank (a fully Ghanaian owned bank registered in the UK as a PLC) on 9th October 2009.
To mark this occasion a special business forum was co hosted by the Commonwealth Business Council (CBC) at the historic Reform Club in Pall Mall central London. Present at the event were the Ghana High Commissioner to the UK His Excellency Prof. Kwaku Danso-Boafo, the CEO of Ghana International Bank (GhIB) Mr JR Mensah,a cross section of members of the CBC and UK based Ghanaian business community. The special guest of honour for the occasion was Ghanas Minister for Finance and Economic Planning Dr Kwabena Duffuor.
After the business forum the delegates and special guest joined GhIB to officially open its refurbished offices at Cheapside London. The highlight of the days celebration was the launch of GhIBs new visa debit card for its current account holders.
EMH was proud to be assigned the role of being a major media partner for the event. As part of its role, EMH released a pre event communiqué in www.ghanaweb.com (a popular Ghanaian online news portal) and other news media in Ghana. EMH crew were on location to film the entire proceeding. During the event EMH’s political and business correspondent Philip Osei-Hwere had exclusive interviews with the Minister for Finance, the Ghana High Commissioner and the CEO of GhIB.
